Who Are We?
A family-owned and operated guest ranch offering a unique western vacation to families, singles, couples and corporate retreats. The ranch has been a vacation destination since the early forties and operated by the True family since 1965. The ranch has grown to a total of 45 guest rooms with a meeting facility. The second generation of the Trues currently operate the ranch and still adhere to the philosophy of customer service that their parents fostered. As an employee of the ranch this becomes your primary responsibility too.

Where Are We Located?
On the northwest side of Tucson, about eight miles west of I-10 at the foothills of the Tucson Mountains. We are about 40 minutes from the Tucson International Airport and 25 minutes from downtown Tucson.

Employment Qualifications
1. Have a consistently positive service attitude.
2. Be willing to maintain a neat appearance and be well groomed while on duty or in contact with the ranch guests.
3. Accept employment to work Saturdays, Sundays, religious holidays, national holidays and any shift, if required.
4. Accept employment to work the number of hours and days deemed necessary by the ranch.
5. You must be able to submit proof of your identity and legal right to work in the United States.
6. Be willing to abide by the policies of the ranch set forth in the Ranch Policy Guide and Substance Abuse Policy that will be given to you upon formal offering of a position.

Work Specifics
We work a six-day work-week (including weekends and holidays). Our employee housing is limited. It is mandatory that wranglers live on the premises. All other positions are optional to live on the ranch. Ranch recreation facilities are only for the guests. Our season of operation is September to mid-June.

Appearance Requirements
A clean and wholesome appearance is a must for employment. Visible tattoos and extremes in hairstyles, clothing, jewelry or makeup are not permitted. Our guests expect each of us to present a neat and clean appearance at all times. Men should have neatly groomed hair. Woman should have hair styled neatly with no unnatural dying. Good personal hygiene is expected of all employees. Some positions require a uniform shirt to be worn, otherwise we require western attire of those who are in contact with guests.

Drug Testing Policy
The Ranch is a Drug-Free Workplace and as such has a Substance Abuse Policy in compliance with Federal and Arizona State Law. The employee will be given a copy of the Policy and a Document of Acknowledgement and Receipt in which the employee agrees to comply with all the terms and conditions of the Policy. The Policy does include provisions for drug and alcohol testing for the following reasons: Reasonable Suspicion, Post-Accident, Post-Injury, Random and Additional Testing. It is important that you understand this policy. It is our intention and objective to make certain that while all employees are working at the Ranch, that they be drug-free.

Foreign Employees
White Stallion Ranch will be happy to consider your application only if you are enrolled with a sponsoring organization. The Ranch cannot sponsor foreign employees for visas at this time. Please state your organization’s name and information in your cover letter.

Seasonal Positions
There are several positions open for each listing.

Dude Ranch Wrangler – September to June - If you have horsemanship skills, a strong work ethic, previous wrangling experience and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others – then we look forward to receiving your application. Experience working with children is a plus. As a wrangler you will be giving western riding instruction using established guidelines, acting as a guide for guest trail rides, and doing barn chores. Our riding program includes lessons, scenic trail rides, fast rides, breakfast rides, all day rides and team penning. Feel free to send photos or a video showing the following: getting on from the ground (which is a job require-ment), catching, tacking, riding at different gaits such as walk, trot and lope. Your compensation package will include room and board. First-Aid and CPR certification is required. General knowledge of safety standards for horse care and handling and equipment used in horse care is a must. Raking and cleaning up the roads daily. Manure removal, corral cleaning and maintenance. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Cook – Provide food preparation services while maintaining standards for cleanliness and organization. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, preparing meals using established recipes, providing direction to kitchen and dining room staff, provide support to servers and beverage crews as needed, use proper food handling and production techniques to ensure food quality including taste, presentation and temperature, ensuring customer service by accommodating guest request. Must take pride in your work.

Prep-Cook – Assisting the chef with lunch and dinner preparation.
Slicing, peeling, scrubbing whatever is necessary to prepare food for staff and guest meals. Some baking of bread and cookies. Must put away left over food in a timely and safe manner.

Dishwasher – Responsible for washing and putting away dishes, pots, pans, etc. Also general cleaning of kitchen and staff dining room floors. Also, cleaning of food prep and food storage areas, putting away incoming grocery orders and assisting food servers and cooks as needed. Remove garbage and stow away and breakdown empty cardboard boxes.

Driver/Landscaper/Hiking Guide – Transporting guests to and from the airport and shuttle stops, taking them to their rooms and helping with luggage. Transporting guests on tours. Take guests on several nature hikes on and off property weekly. Keep vehicles gassed and clean. Stock bar coolers and wine coolers daily, make sure coolers, bar and lodge area are clean and organized. Keep inventory of wine cellar, liquor cabinet and large cooler. Put away liquor from deliveries and rotate stock. Outside clean up includes patios, yard, bonfire area and general landscaping. Help keep ranch grounds clean, raking and pruning. A copy of your Motor Vehicle Record is required for the past three years.

Housekeepers – Responsible for cleaning guest rooms, i.e. making beds, dusting, vacuuming and general cleaning including sweeping porches. Deep cleaning of all areas as needed. Cleaning all public areas such as the lodge, fitness center, recreation room and meeting rooms.

Food Servers – Responsible for providing genuine hospitality in a variety of settings: indoor dining, outdoor patio dining, picnics and conference settings. Breakfast requires taking cooked-to-order orders. Servers are responsible for food set-up, dining room set-up and dining room cleanliness. Servers must be out-going, service oriented and clean conscious. If you have a strong work ethic and get satisfaction from serving others, we welcome your application.

Office – Must enjoy serving people as our quality of customer service is extremely important. You must have good telephone manners, be able to operate our computerized reservation system, be handy with figures and have a flexible, positive attitude. Some driving may be required so a clean, valid driving license is necessary along with a Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years. There are four shifts for the front desk and employees rotate through all shifts on a weekly basis. The evening shift sells the liquor for the bar. Each shift has its share of secretarial duties, hospitality duties and general clean up duties. There may be some lifting.
