Cactus Cowgirls Ride Again!
Special One Week Program
Sunday  - Sunday

January 22nd - 29th, 2012




Bask in the warm Arizona sun, make lots of new friends and learn new skills.  You may have your own horse for the week to bathe, groom and saddle  - or leave the horse care to the professionals and just show up for your rides! You will receive instruction on horse safety and methods to improve communication with your horse.
There will be trail rides, team penning and a daily lesson.


Also included:
 A hayride, cookout, country western dance lessons, hiking and special stretching classes which focus on the needs of equestrians.
We will rehearse a mounted quadrille maneuver that will be presented on Saturday at the Ranch Rodeo.


Your stay includes;
 a Margarita welcome party,
a one hour massage, 
all "cowgirl activities"  
and airport transfers.

                   A perfect opportunity to meet everyone and look over

                  the schedule. We can make changes if necessary.

                  If you have read a great horse book or riding instruction

                 book this is an opportunity to share it with the group.

            Or if you discovered an interesting riding tip or horse tip, let

Beautiful Treasures, using watercolor and ink

                   This fun session will produce a wonderful treasure of art,using your  surroundings or something dear to you. 
We will start with small
pencil drawings at whatever drawing level you are. 
Then you outline
 your subject in black ink and fill in the blanks with watercolors.
You will love what you get to take home.  Meet in the Longhorn room.

11:00am     Horses, Yoga and You, Part 1.   This class has two parts for the rider:  The Yoga class is specifically designed for horseback riders that want to improve their balance and develop being centered. It will help them discover, separate and strengthen both sides of the body equally.  Taught by Fran Young.  Sign up is requested.  Held in the Longhorn.

          2:00pm       Complimentary lesson or scenic slow trail ride

 

2:30pm       The Horseback riding class, Part 2.  This will put all the new awareness to purpose.  Through simulations on the ground without the horse and then riding, you will discover how your body influences the horses body.  These classes will help you develop harmony between you and the horse. Taught by Zuzanna Runge.   Sign up.
